About the Portsmouth Arts Guild
The Portsmouth Arts Guild was founded in January 2003 to provide an opportunity for Portsmouth artists, and those of surrounding towns, to exhibit their work and to learn from one another. Its members are painters and printmakers, photographers and sculptors, fiber artists and wood carvers, jewelers and craftspeople. Membership is open to all artists of any medium and to all supporters of the arts.
The Arts Guild holds three major exhibitions a year—a spring members’ show, a summer outdoor arts festival, and a fall, open juried show. In addition, we offer periodic smaller shows at local venues, such as the Town Hall and the Portsmouth Free Public Library.
Mission
The mission of The Portsmouth Arts Guild is to unite creative people and supporters of the arts to promote, celebrate and share talents and skills and to provide a cultural enclave for the education and benefit of the community.
